I wouldn't work for anyone with your attitude toward an employee, they aren't property they are people. If i need a specific day off I tell my employer what day that is and why. It's not negotiable. If they have a problem with that I don't want to work for them anyway.

Gabe, apparently you have never owned a business where it was your sole responsibility to acquire accounts and fund a payroll, taxes, and insurance. I paid my people well and worked side by side with them. I went to their weddings and kids birthday parties. I paid for a Christmas party every year. All employees were treated with respect and dignity. When they needed time off, they usually received it. The original post was about a trainee that was "informing" a corporation that he is taking time off during his training period of only 3 weeks. As you said yourself that you accept someone's pay and their schedule but you demand time off as" non-negotiable" , you would be fired on the spot. The nice thing about The USA is that you don't have to stay at a job Gabe, and I wouldn't have to keep you. With your attitude I doubt you hold jobs very long.

I trust this one will suffice. That's quite enough arguing, thank you very much.

$60k or $80k.....which is it ? Or will you raise the bar again when someone says they made $80k ?

Teams most certainly have the ability to do far above 5,500 miles a week. There has been several weeks we've done 6,000 or more miles a week. Does my wife and I want to run that hard ? Not really. We're willing to sacrifice a few extra miles so we can enjoy the places we're visiting. There are many teams at USX that do consistently 6,000+ miles a week. Keep in mind not showering as often and not stopping for a good meal, etc. but it can and is done regularly.
