The low pressure potato chip route to Colorado is 10 to Las Cruces then north on 25.
Flagstaff is 7200 feet coming from 95 across 40.
You do realize Colorado is the Rocky Mountains right?
The potato chip route is a more gradual pressure change, but you can't get to Colorado Springs without going over the Continental Divide somewhere.
You understand why they call it that yes?

While not always do I go down to I-8, this is one of the best routes. Miles are a tad long, but the fuel and time savings make up for the miles.

That's exactly the way I used to run. There used to be a PITA POE at Parker,Az. years ago,but It's been closed for some time now.
