kc8vje, littlebit,
Do you guys have any idea what "big guys" means... I guess morbidly obese puts a little more definition on it.... I'm 6' tall and 240 lbs, maybe a little lighter. My pants are a waist size of 38 - 40. So, I don't think of myself as too over weight, but I'm definately not thin or athletic. Like I mentioned above.. I'm 54 years old. If they only want young, super fit individuals, they'll probably send me back home. I'd hate to see that after all that I've been through already.

Thanks littlebit!
So who are you working for now? Why'd you leave USA Truck and why'd you go to the company you're working for now? Are you doing well? -
I work for a small company in NC. I left USA because I wanted a local job. I am doing pretty good.

I live in the area and I can't recall any Howard Johnsons. I didn't know they still exsisted in this part of the country. I am just guessing now But I'm gonna take a wild guess and say they MIGHT put you up at at,I believe it is Exit 63 (please correct me if I'm wrong),theres plenty of food places and the such in that area. The yard would be at Exit 64. Or, the back way coming from the north ,you take Exit 69.You can get from the yard to the motel area (if it truly is at Exit 63) without gettin on I-75. But it is not walkable. Unless you are a fitness buff good luck -

Hi Guys,
Acording to the USA people on the phone, it is Howard Johnson's Express Inn. All they gave me was a phone number. I'm suppose to call back to the USA office tomorrow to confirm the reservation. Soooo, I looked up the hotel on the I-Net. It's at exit 59, about 4 turns away, on Poe Rd. The picture of the hotel doesn't look too bad... looks kinda like a southwest stucko type building. Nothing mentioned about food joints and I didn't think to ask when I called last week. If you know this area stickyfinger, maybe you'll know what's there in the way of food. These places grow and change pretty fast sometimes.
I used to do some road-warrior stuff for another company (years ago)... I was an traveling mechanic/instructor type. Back then, most of the hotels aways offered some kind of a shuttle to get you around. Should be a relatively fun journey !?!? I always hope to find a hotel restraurant nearby with a happy hour that serves free appetisers. Then you can usually go pig out for the price of a beer or a coke. -
Exit 59? dam I wonder why they keeping you down there? Its a good area but its further away then just staying up in Vandalia. That area has alot of food joints that have just gone up in the last couple years. The new ones are mostly the sit down type, but they do have the normal inventory of "fast food" also. Even got a Hooters nearby. The driver who does the shuttle run for our route stays at the Motel 6 there. He lives in In., but comes over here for the week to work. They have a motel over that way ,I THINK it's called,I cant recall the first name, but its like The something Village There's been trouble there several times

Yea, my sister lives in Centerville (guess that's the South side of Dayton). Living East of Cincinnati, I don't know too much about any of Dayton... just 'passing through' knowledge. Nice to know they have some food joints near the hotel! I guess USA Truck sends a shuttle back and forth. They want me to be ready for pick-up at 6 in the morning on Friday.
This website and you guys are great help. I really appreciate it!
