Then there is absolutely no reason to do a lease purchase. Just remain a company driver. There is NEVER a good reason to get into a fleece purchase. It is a real good way to go broke in a hurry.

If you're going through TEL, they ask for a $1500 down payment usually. As for repairs, you have to have an escrow which they will take out manadatory $0.08 a mile for it. Most of your repairs are covered under warranty unless they try to say that driver negligence was involved. The lease is not a walk away and is for four years unless you get lucky and get a returned truck. As for credit, mine was in the high 500's and they gave me the truck. I just had to split due to how bad they ruined my profits (not TEL) and put me in the poor house almost after I'd just moved out of it.

I should clarify that I was at Landair which is a subsidiary of Covenant. I started at SRT on a dedicated chemical account making about as much as you. We didn't choose our loads there, but my team was one of the best at keeping me going. We only ran into one problem the whole time I was on that board. I can tell the story of you like. But David "I'm A False Christian" Parker shut down SRT out of jealousy and a grudge against the original owners who weren't even thinking about him. Then I ended up at STAR which merged into LandAir. If you want the whole story, let me know. I'm not one to hijack threads my friend.
