USED APU worth it for a used truck?

Save your money for an in-frame…it’s getting near that time.

 

Depends on where your running and how long your out for. I see all these guys justifying a genset by saying they're running it 365 days a year. Nobody needs a genset that much. And l agree with Concorde about saving some money for an in frame...

 

Buy a genset and a portable ac unit.
Cummins makes a 4500 watt inverter genny for 1,200 on Amazon a poor man's honda
Champion has one to same wattage I think it's 100.00 cheaper reliability I have no idea about though I would go for the Cummins over the Champion. I have always bought Hondas they just keep working look into getting a gentent also. And a space heater for winter and a 10 Guage extension cord to handle the load. And get a carbon monoxide detector if you don't have one

 

Mount generator on catwalk with ratchet straps and cable or chain locks.
Heavy-duty extension cord thru per existing hole in floor.
AC (think R2D2) strapped to the side of passenger seat

 

Save the money for an inframe and overhaul your gonna need one soon. A decent inverter genny is more quiet than any apu I ever heard. I heard with the tripacs they have a hard time keeping up in 102 degrees and they over heat and shut down and drivers have go outside and open the door

 

How much is this used apu brand is it i have a guy in ok that will install a new tripac for 14k . Also talk to people that own em I hear when they break there not a cheap fix

 

And get an extension pipe for the exhaust
