Is there anyway to get a Idea for the prices on used trucks besides Nadda? Have a friend with some trucks to get rid of. I bought one myself and drove it back from California, It is a great truck. Im trying to figure out a fair price, If I buy a membership at Nadda commercial trucks for $120.00 is it for trucks only? And how user friendly is it? Some are definitely worth more than the others because of the engines and all that. I know one of them for sure has a N14 in it, and maybe three of them. One has a Cat, Three Detroit series 60. All have day cabs. My question is where is a good place to get prices? is nadda the only place? All Im going to do is get a ball park number and then lower it so they sale quick.

Get the details on the trucks and then just do a search of similar trucks for sale in your area on CL and Truckpaper as mentioned above. Just see what others are asking for similar spec'ed trucks. If you are paying cash you can always look into going the auction route and getting them at wholesale prices if the least expensive is your goal.

Thanks Marlin, Heres the deal, They belong to a friend in Cali and out there they have a lot of BS emissions laws that have been passed. It would cost to much to retrofit all these trucks. And so its sale them or have them smashed for scrap. They are to good to scrap, I have one of them sitting in my driveway now that I drove back. One of them in particular is a 1996 FLD 120 N14 Cummins with 529, 726 miles/ with a 10 speed. The reason for the lower miles is because they used it to haul sand to their plant for all these years. It was never out hauling freight. Im waiting on pics now. I was just going to post them on Craigslist when I get a picture, but wasn't sure on a price. The one I bought is a 2001 fl70 and it only had 49,000 miles on it because it had a big Industrial compressor on it for making air, so once they got to the job they turned it off. The compressor had its own engine so it has to be sold as well. Im just helping them move them and making a little for my driving. That's the whole deal.

The truck market is weird right now. I know, because I'm trying to buy one & I could write a freakin' novel about what I've been through.

OTOH I did sell my wrecked 2005 Columbia on eBay for $7600 to a Mexican guy who is exporting it. I'm not sure that the two trucks you have are worth a great deal. I would suggest eBay, set the lowest reserve you can live with & hope for the best.

When you say the market is weird and you have had trouble and still haven't bought one, Then I take it the prices were way high? And I got 7 of them to sale. And I just heard tonight that their business is slow and they may have their entire crew drive them and park them on my property and fly home lol. If I can sale enough of them I wouldn't mind keeping the 120 with the N14 myself. They have to get them out of Cali or they will start being fined by the day:biggrin_25511: WTF? That's a place to visit and not to live:biggrin_25516:, Said even though they are Non oped right now they cant even have them sitting there after a certain Date. :biggrin_2551: WTF kind of place is that anyway?

Prices on used trucks have fallen greatly in the past year. But many are still in 2012. When you see a good price you have to jump fast.
