Something else I would suggest is to acquire some equipment manuals so you can see what specs are on different pieces of machinery. That way you’ll be saved the hassle of agreeing to move something only to find it won’t fit on your trailer.Lepton1, Airborne, Caterpillar Cowboy and 3 others Thank this.

I think that more important than the lowboy itself is experience, or at least a familiarity in running the equipment that you will be hauling.
That is quite an offer!Lepton1, Caterpillar Cowboy, johndeere4020 and 4 others Thank this. -
yea im going to give it a try see how it goes is a home everynight job tooOxbow Thanks this.

How are you at operating heavy machinery? Will you be comfortable loading and unloading by yourself?
Will the machinery be live, as in running? Or dead, as in figuring out a way to drag or tow or lift it onto the trailer?
Will the company be taking care of permits or will that be up to you? If you're doing the permitting and running in more than one state you'll have a lot to learn.
Heavy haul is a different world. It can be interesting but it's not very tolerant of mistakes. -

this will help with some specs....not all -
You're gonna make $150000 as a driver??!! That's pretty special.
And home every night? Hmm.
And no experience??Last edited by a moderator: Mar 27, 2018
DSK333 Thanks this. -
Raise it up, throw your ride doors, put it on the ground, pull your lines, pop the pin, support your neck, and drive ahead.
Drop your pin, back it in gently till it locks, you may have to adjust a little, reconnect your lines, raise your support, raise it up, shut your ride doors then drop the neck on the doors.
That's how you dethatch and attach a lowboy. How you "run" one there's a whole lot more than I can type in a forum post in one night.DozerCowboy, Lepton1, rulonwaholla and 1 other person Thank this.
