When I contact a company about a load, what information should I get from them? For a flatbed, should I ask: Load and unload appointment times? Type of frieght, what is it? Tarps required? Any special instructions or considerations? Who is responsible for loading/unloading? Miles paid? How much load pays per mile? Are these correct and pertainent questions? Are there other questions I should ask or information I should obtain? Thanks in advance.

Most of the time, the brokers will rattle that info off to you when you call, but yeah, anything they don't volunteer, just ask.

Most important is this- you do want to get paid and if you use a factoring company- go thru their site to check the company's rating. Or you can worry free all together and use non recourse funding.
