Why should he be PO 4 block's is a good run. If I remember right they would pay a minimum of $50.00 for a load . I had a couple of those when I drove for USX One load I had only took me 45 min. not a bad pay![]()

Well, my mini "vacation" is about over with. After sitting in Irving since Thursday night I will be leaving out for OKC this afternoon. I hate sitting for so long because every time I start out I feel like I forgot how to drive....LOL
After I deliver in OKC I get to come back south to Ardmore for a Michelin load that delivers in Detroit Wednesday morning..................what sucks with this load is that I'm supposed to have home time at my boyfriend's house down near Scottsboro, AL on Thursday and I was hoping to get in Wednesday afternoon and that ain't going to happen..........but IF the route goes the way that makes sense there is a very good possibility that I will spend tonight in my own bed AT HOME since it's just a 5 hr trip from Ardmore to Carthage, MO, and by that time I'll be out of hours...LOL -
Well, I'm officially hired at US Xpress, because of the tornadoes in Chattanooga it took us 6 days instead of 4 but it's all good. What a process though, talk about hurry up and wait. I kept telling myself that there were people in the next town over of Ringgold that lost everything they had, pretty humbling. I was sent home yesterday by bus to wait for a trainer....Oh and listen up people. It's best not to smoke pot before your DOT drug test...Yes someone failed for that and was sent home..can you believe it?

CONGRATULATIONS!!!
We drove through Ringgold. So awful.
Good luck on getting a trainer quicklySpaces1965 Thanks this. -
Well I'm here at Tunnel Hill.
Got in about 2 this morning with 5 other guys. Got picked up and the first thing the shuttle driver said was got some bad news, all the motels are full with people who came down to help out cleaning up after the tornado. So the 6 of us got to spend the rest of the night in the drivers lounge. Got to say though VERY nice lounge!
However means not much sleep. Since we were already at the terminal we got to do the road tests first.
Easy as pie. Had a little trouble with the 45 back but got it in there and didnt hit any trailers. Backing that auto was weird. very sluggish, at least to me anyway. Trainer said all the volvos were like that. I dunno, but I assume I passed as he didnt tell me otherwise and they went ahead and checked me into the motel.
Now just hanging out waiting till tomorrow...when the fun begins!
Wedge Thanks this. -
Congrats on passing the driving test, Wulfman.

Good luck tomorrow. Let me know how you make out. I'm looking very closely at USX, and will be interested in everything you have to say.wulfman75 Thanks this. -
Congratulations Spaces!!!.....Wulfman, good job on the backing!....have to tell a funny on myself here......when I upgraded at Tunnel Hill last year I had to do the backing about 3 times...it was easy, just swing around in front, line up, and straight back....but I was always turning too soon or too late and couldn't get straight out....but he passed me anyway, saying I just needed more practice...LOL
Am currently sitting at my delivery in OKC (got here at 1715)....unfortunately no one is here!!!!!! and the "neighbors" said "I don't think they are open on the weekends." Notified dispatch, they notifed CSR, I get the message back from dispatch "Your appt is 1800, don't go anywhere.".....I told her/him not to worry, wasn't leaving until I deliver.Spaces1965 and wulfman75 Thank this. -
So we are sitting in a cute little rest area on SR2 in Northern MA just outside of Fritchburg. Picking up in the morning and heading to Indianapolis. Anne just completed the 27th iteration of the great truck reorganization quest. I believe we are close to the holy grail this time. (She can't buy much more stuff because all of the cabinets are full)
Beautiful day (even though my Mariners lost) It is so nice to be truckers again after sitting for more than a week.Spaces1965 and wulfman75 Thank this. -
Don't you know that Anne will never be finished reorganizing????....Us women are never satisfied with how things come together and there always has to be a better way....LOL
