The very first time I had to go to USX Global was in the middle of the night....found my way right in, which was a miracle since you can barely see the street sign. Second time, in the daylight, I went right past it and down the road for several miles before I could get turned around.

Jeremy, you will learn that those directions can come from any direction and it's usually not in the direction you are traveling...LOL...............I had one the other day that said "Take the exit south of IBP"....well, I was headed north, but thank goodness I knew which exit I wanted....LOL

When I was at CRST I had some directions that were all backwards. They had the correct exit and the correct way to turn off the exit. Everything after that was backwards. That was one time I trusted my GPS and it paid off...LOL

Once they sent me to a receiver in Orlando. I got there and it was empty. I called the number and was told they moved 3 years ago.

I know it, but its just irritating sometimes how stupid the people are that write some of them. I've sent some in that are spot on with 3 lines of text when the ones they sent to me seemed like an entire page of abbreviations and broken thoughts.

And do I really need directions from 400 miles away? Why not tell me where to stop for lunch and bathroom breaks along the way too? Just get me in there from the nearest main highway.

I'm really good with a map because back when I started driving that was all we had and you had to stop to make phone calls. Anyone remember waiting to use the payphones and using calling cards? How's about when they would bring you the cordless phone to use in the restaurant at the truck stop while you were eating dinner? Man I feel old.

More recently, I really rely on Google maps. If I'm unfamiliar with the area, it works out great. I like being able to pull up a satellite picture and get a good close look at the place so I know exactly where I'm going, which driveway to pull in, etc.

All right guys, I just sent a mildly crappy message in about wasting my day and got an immediate response for the next stop on this edition of "Trailer Treasure Hunt".

Makes me wonder how long they would have waited to send that to me if I hadn't sent them a "friendly reminder".

Wish me luck, this one's only 41 miles from where I'm at now. At least its back in the right direction, kinda...

What's really fun is when they spell the street phonetically and it looks nothing like the actual street name......and then you can't find in on Goggle, or Streets and Trips........and to top it off, nobody is there to answer the phone when you call for directions.

It is even more fun when they ask you to switch your 400 mile run with another driver out of hours and run his load 60 miles to make a delivery only to find out when you get to the receiver that the delivery of the load you got was supposed to be delivered the day before, and they wont take the load without a new apt.

Finally loaded, let's see if I can make a dent in this 600 mile run with the 4.5 hours I have left for the day...
