I made my delivery in Shakopee, MN last night and, as the pattern has been going, they have no empties at the customer. How many times can this happen in a row. C'mon already.
Decided to take my 10 hour and let the A-team handle it in the morning. I got a phone call from dispatch with 30 minutes left in my break, they needed my to go repower a load for a guy who was out of hours at his delivery and was surprised we they told him that there was another stop on it. This worked out great for me, 18 miles to where the guy was and then 7 miles to the other stop. So I'll get paid for the minimum miles run on a load and have and empty trailer. Sweet.
Waiting for a load now so I can start working my way back to Markham to pick up my girlfriend on Wednesday. She is at orientation right now. Finally.
Have a good day, everyone.

thanks Craig, well i have been offered a run with Arnold that stays in texas ... houston to dallas to san antonio to houston, with sometimes going to baton rouge, called the texas loop.. only thing is im not sure that would give me the miles enough to make anything... it's also mon -fri off on weekends which is cool ..
the other place is a reefer outfit running mid west, south east and some out west to cali ... no northeast, no nyc etc ....still checking on them etc..
the texas run with arnold sounds cool but not sure i want to run in circles, lol
with the other place i could stretch my legs more, and it pay more of course...
either way it's time for to get back out on the road, i've spent the last few months here at home running local for a guy who only has 3 trucks hauling containers out of the port .. started off good but now his work has slowed down, and like i said i've had time to recharge my batteries etc...i'll let you guys know whats up and make a habit of staying in touch.. glad to hear you guys are doing well ..... -

I had an extreme bit of good luck with my delivery last night. I won't get into it other than to say I take full advantage of faulty equipment when it is in my favor...LOL.
At any rate I ended up being able to pick up my next load (Bridgewater, VA to Bolingbrook) on time. Unfortunately I only had about 5.5 hours left on my 70 so here I sit in Nitro, WV. I was hoping to make it to Markham by tomorrow morning (isn't there a trainer class there on Tuesdays?) but I won't be able to get there until around noonish, provided there are no traffic delays at all. Luckily this thing doesn't have to deliver until the 20th. I hate HOS rules. -
It started awesome and turned into a miserable FAIL.
In an effort to refrain from saying some things I might regret in the future, I will explain it later when I don't feel like throttling the life out of someone.
Breathe in, breathe out...
Say goodnight, Gracie. -
OK, drove straight through from Knoxville TN to Annapolis Junction MD. About 8 1/2 hours. Wanted to get through Washington DC before rush hour which starts very early there. Plan worked perfectly but man did I need a bathroom.
Sitting at the consignee just South of Baltimore. I am going to be in serious trouble if Anne does not get a bucket of crabs for lunch. This is the third time in Baltimore in a few weeks and she is not happy we have not been able to do it. We have a preplan from Middletown PA (100 miles away) to Phoenix set for pickup at 18:00 so it should work out. Never know, however.
Sure loving the miles. -
I am doing the Happy Dance right now.....was given a load yesterday that picked up tonight and delivers in Chicago Thursday morning...total miles from here about 1100.....running on recap and had the total hours needed, but come to find out they are in the wrong places so I would not be able to deliver the load on time.....just got word that the customer will take me late so now I'm 2hrs away from finishing a 34!!!!!!!.....was excited to see this load because home time is Friday and it's only a 10hr drive from Chicago so hopefully I'll get something heading towards home on Thursday.
