I dropped my student off at Irving last night. He got the rest of his 120 on the way up there from Laredo. Then I did laundry and took a nap, then delivered up in Sapulpa, OK. Now I'm sitting here at the J in Tulsa waiting on a load to get me headed home.

I'm also waiting to hear from my student on how he did with the upgrade. I guess they're busy since it's Monday and they have a new crop starting today. He is way ahead of his future co-driver, who only just hit his 75 yesterday I think.

BTW, last week I got 2819 miles plus $140. It was a shorter week because we did a full 34 hr restart. Also, I only got paid for half of that run that was supposed to be a repower but we had to switch back because the other driver didn't have hazmat. I will get the rest of that on next weeks pay. We never really got to do a good team run because they cut the Cali run short to get him to Irving for his upgrade. I vote they up the training period to 150 hours...LOL

It definitely pays to be creative in this business.

I always say don't wait for things to happen, make them happen.

Vin I'm headed to Irving in the morning for Wednesday class. I was suppose to be there today but had to reschedule due to a family emergency. Are you picking up another student after your home time?

Yes. Since I survived my first student I will definitely continue training. I live in Florida so they'll probably get me someone out of Tunnel Hill.
