my day is going good, just finishing up on getting my stuff together for the road...when i go to orientation on the first i plan on running all summer without taking any real hometime off, i will stop at diffferent locations over the summer to visit with friends but other than that i will be on the run all summer.....hope the miles are there..!!!
marquardt72 Thanks this. -
Awesome, I know you will do fine, don't forget to post your progress, the good the bad and the ugly but of course I hope there is no ugly, lol....
Take care.marquardt72 Thanks this. -
This has got to be the slowest Fed Ex run I've ever done and I'm very thankful. I have big problems whenever I flip-flop from days to nights in that I don't get any sleep and then my guts gets all whacked out of shape. Got to Fed Ex about 2330, left there about 0230, got fuel and ran until about 0500 when I had to stop for a 2hr nap.....then I made it to the Pilot on I70, XT 101 with 15 minutes left.....promptly took another 2hr nap..LOL
Hope to get at least 6 hrs sleep and then head out about 0400 for the last 100 miles.....this will put me back on the day shift and hopefully my system will be straightened out by then. -
musicgal,
how often do you end up running nites? i always try to stay on the day shift myself..lol., my favorite thing is too start out anywhere from 0400-0500 maybe even 0300 and then get a good days run in, i know it can't always be like that but i try to keep it that way 90 percent of the time...just curious if the company side runs smooth like that most of the time...lol -
I love getting the long runs because then I can start around 7am and quit when I run out of hours......or even runs like this where there is plenty of time and I can run my day anyway I like and get back on the day shift.
I don't do a lot of night runs, but sometimes I will have to start awful early......like the other day when I had leave E. St. Louis at 0415 to deliver in Memphis by 1000.
I don't like night runs because I don't see well at night......and trying to find the customer in the dark is absolutely terrible, especially when the directions are all screwy.......I try to goggle and get the route, but sometimes I can't get internet.
I have Streets and Trips with GPS coming in next week so that will help me out a lot. -
cool, yeah i don't like running nites either for the same reason as you..if i'm in the dark i'd rather it be in the early morning hours and waiting for the sun...when i have to run over nite it kills me, i always feel tired no matter how much sleep i have had..lol,
