If the cruise is not working try tapping the brakes. That is usually the issue and will clear it up.
There are now quite a few Pilots that have bulk DEF. Call the fur=el department and tell them you need DEF and they can route you to one with bulk. You do the DEF first before you fuel. Never leave a terminal without topping off the DEF tanks.

I meant tank, not tanks. I could see you looking for an hour or so for another tank.
wulfman75 Thanks this. -
oh, What are you saying I am slow? LOL
We put 1-2 containers in evrytime we fill. I believe they are 2 1/2 gallons. Find out around noon est where we are headed from here. We have been doing a lot of Fed ex and UPS loads. Nice runs. -
just about any scanner will work... i would not buy one from the company (at $140 it's just to much) you can go to walmart and get an HP all in one for around $60... tax write off as well as the paper and ink,
that way you have a printer as well as a COLOR copier and that can come in handy...... ever had to STOP at a truckstop to get copies...?
for $10 a month you can use myfax (email fax) and you can have a 888 fax number. comes in very VERY handy for what we do. if we need something faxed to the truck i just give them my 888 fax number and when i have time or when i need the fax i just get online check my email and print it, same thing if i need to send one..... no need to stop at the truckstop and PAY them to do it. it's also a tax write off -
i am so glad we got a truck the doesn't use the def and no regen system.

-
CONGRATS Rain!!! Hope you don't have to wait too long for a trainer.
Sean is sitting at 65hrs right now. She is doing just about everything that is needed...the SatCom, fueling, backing, customers, etc
We learned about the DEF today, ourselves. Bought 3 containers yesterday and today (paying for it myself), then called the fuel dept to see if there was a way to use my fuel card to buy it.....she talked me through the process so the next two I had to go inside, buy the DEF, and then have the pump turned on. So now we are almost full of DEF again and from now on I will get it every time I get fuel.
How close are you guys getting where the brakes engage? Our VORAD will beep, but it hasn't engaged the brakes any, at least not where I've noticed it sitting in the jump seat. -
Musicgal, I have a training question for you. Does the trainer occupy the jump seat throughout the training period, or do you also run teams?
I'll be in orientation in the morning, and I was wondering what USX policy was on that.
