I didn't do DG. But if you stay out for 2 weeks at a time you can make way more money cause they can send you further out ...
I was doing 600 mile trips as a solo on dollar tree cause I didn't have to go home every week. It is very hard work. But if you're used to hard labor, you can make a good go of it. Remember, take your time backing and watch your overhead

 

Dollar Tree works the same way as Dollar General though doesn't it? That's what I've been told in the past. Doesn't Dollar General own Dollar Tree now?

But if you go there take a few weeks and learn what your pace is. I found I enjoyed family dollar more than dollar tree.

Years ago, in the Navy, I finished top of my class and was allowed to pick my orders. Of course, I knew nothing of the locations, command structure, work conditions, etc because I had no experience yet. So I chose blind. I feel like I am doing the same thing again now. I have no idea where to go after school. I don't even know how to compare these companies/accounts. It's scary.

 

Which orders did you pick in the Navy?
You can make a good living with TMC or Maverick and won't ruin your health doing it.

 

I went to a command vessel called USS Coronado. We had an Admiral, and a slew of super ambitious, highly political officers. We cleaned all the time. If I had known all that I know now, I would have taken a more normal and less formal duty station. Blind choices are perilous. And thank you for your candid advice. I am going to take it

 

My buddy got caught up in the same mess with the USS Blue Ridge and some other command type ship. I was on a frigate and the USS New Jersey. Hit some fine ports on that frigate and didn't have to "sweat the small stuff" as the saying went.
