I have to agree that people there in utah do need some driving lessons, pull right out infront of you,, stop on a dime on a split decision, drive half in a turn lane and half out till they get to theyr turn,, drive 100 mph in a 55 mph zone.. but i think its actually worse to drive in the state of california than utah,, in california they drive in the far left lane of a 5 lane freeway, then at last split second dart from there to the exit cutting everyone off and come within a hair of getting hit and killed,, some peoples children,,

A couple of rounds on the loop of Atlanta, or a quick run across I-10/I-12 in Louisianna would make him appreciate SLC drivers.

Utah drivers suck. I hate driving in that state. Yes there are worse places, but they have absolutley no manners period. In Utah the speed limit is merely a suggestion, not a law. Ok, now I feel better:biggrin_25519:

I have been threw Utah many many many times..... I pretty much ran coast to coast and Utah honestly was not that bad for me. even going threw that major construction they had it still was not that bad.. nothing more then what you would expect from any other city... I have to agree with Ron that CA is much worse far as that goes... They raise anti trucking communities out there.. No place in this country have I had people hold their hand out the wind flashing 55 (speed limit) because I was going 62MPH but in cali...
People out there are just freaking strange...

LOL want to talk about rude drivers try going to NJ... they are rude... west coast I don't think they are rude but just ignorant to the fact that they will die.. East coast they could care less...

Until last spring I was driving in both California and Utah on a weekly basis.
In my experience I've found that Southern California drivers, while aggressive, are generally very competent and reliable- for example on the freeways if a driver is entering from an on ramp you can back off the throttle slightly, reasonably confident that the driver will accelerate rapidly and move out of the way. I don't mind driving in California at all.
I believe that Utah drivers on the other hand are among the worst in the nation. I think this stems not necessarily from rudeness but mainly from the innate stupidity that most citizens of that state seem to suffer from.
I have never witnessed so many bone headed maneuvers per day in any other state, although Nevada and New Mexico rate (dis)honorable mentions in that department.
