Well, folks, this is really a fine setup and the stars are in alignment. The new HOS rules kick in July 1st. This is an opportune time to take that vacation time. The first week of July, go fishing, camping, work on that yard landscape project, get that repair to the truck you have been putting off, etc, etc, etc. A whole week of OTR trucks not running right when the HOS kicks in. Great way to bring in the 4th of July Holiday and truly celebrate the birth of Liberty!

I started taking that week off years ago as a company driver. July tended to always be slow anyways and it's a good time to kick back enjoy time with family and friends. Last year it turned into a month.

1st week of June is the one I take off. No sense in going to a gun battle with a knife.

I'm celebrating the impending HOS rules by going back to offroad work. Go ahead, inspect me in a foot of mud on a (PRIVATE PROPERTY) lease road miles from the hardtop. I'll wait, I'm paid by the hour :)

    Cowpie1 Thanks this.
