place is dead as hell... gotta admit i haven't had much things positive going on with me lately, personally don't feel like putting all the details up but just one problem lead to an even bigger problem. If my truck ever arrives at Sheldon i'm sure you guys might get the clue and see where i was coming from, anyhow, you guys remain safe and watch yourselves for the other idiots on the road.

Milkman69, I don't think the guys that typically run the midwest follow this post much - or as least they don't reply :). But hwy 20 is a corridor that we run often so getting you home would not be a problem. Husker is correct that you could possibly see a lot of Chicago in week, also Kansas and Missouri could be popular distinations.

I was thinking of responding...but coming out of Minnesota every time I come out of the house doesn't quite reflect the life of an Iowa driver that's a little closer to the flow of traffic.

@mushroom. About to take a snooze and then bring some grapes into Fareway in Boone tomorrow. Then one more up to the [not so frozen anymore] Northland and home.

Took a hop skip and a jump run to Ottawa tonight then got stuck coming to RR Donnelley in Bolingbrook. If Craig couldn't see my hours I was tempted to say sorry, no hours! I absolutely hate this place! Speaking of not so awesome places, if Cory offers you a load to Kroeger in Louisville, KY just throw yourself off of a cliff and you'll have more fun. Showed up for a noon appointment and didn't get out until 2330, you could probably imagine my pleasure at this place. Earlier in the day I was starring out the window watching a thunderhead roll in when all of a sudden the complex started locking down like a prison and everyone was hightailing it to the main warehouse, but for some odd reason I didn't think much of it. About an hour later I walked into the guardshack to heat up some lunch and I asked him what the hubbub was all about earlier. He casually said "oh we were in a tornado warning with a small one reported on the ground about 10 miles east of here so we went to the tornado shelter". I kinda threw it out there that they kinda forgot to tell a few drivers this fun fact, but he didn't seem too worried about it.

I used to go to Louisville Kroger all the time at my last job. Even with mostly D&H there, it's a pretty pro level cluster.

Typical, the shippers/receivers just want the product. They could give a rats *** about the drivers.

Some places I question if they even want the product!

Well I left the house Monday to load the Port Newark-Alpena, SD jerky run, which I've picked up 10 or more times before, but this time I finally saw it to final delivery! The broker said they were going to reload me out of there to Underwood, IA if that was OK. I found that humorous as if the middleman (broker) was bypassing the middle man (Van Wyk). Alpena was a good deal, ul and reloaded in under two hours. Underwood was a breeze as well.

Then I went to Sheldon as I was 4k overdue for service. I hear someone else was 8k over thankfully so I didn't have to hear about it. Loads out of here were thin so I did a restart and spent all day yesterday polishing my truck. If you wanna get that metal cleaned up ask Cupcake for some rubbing compound and Blue Magic! Currently sitting at the Crystal Cafe in Dakota City waiting on some broasted chicken. Then I'll finally be off to Gordon Food in Springfield, OH for a whopping 3 skids on Sunday night and Acme/Supervalu in Denver, PA on Tuesday morning for the rest.
