Not that i know of, i imagine there are some loads that go south east, but im not too sure of florida.
Mic Thanks this. -
spyder, call sheldon tomorrow morning or tuesday and tell them the deal so you can get detention!!
Mic, the loads we get south is very far and between.. we get a few loads a month out of a shipper in virginia that has multiple stops in FL but again it's every once in a while. I've heard of guys taking loads out of the midwest such as meat & ice cream to points in GA. Heck it's worthing asking, there's a publix warehouse right on 10 before you get to Jacksonville that i wouldn't doubt we could deliver too. Just let Tim/Jeanie know of your situation.Mic Thanks this. -
plus a walmart dc..anheuser busch....there are lots of places to deliver to

yep, I called tim saturday, he was in dispatch when all this was going down saturday, they are gonna try to get detention from the shipper, I did bug him a bit too much, so im hoping i didnt aggravate him too much(i guess i have a guilty complex) lol, i was p.o.'d at the guard shack there because i was hoping to get the stuff off that nite and at least try to get home and didnt really expect the consignee to take that long, i went back there early morning and only waited maybe a couple hours more then they finally got me in....i was a lot happier when i got called to the gate....when the lumper got done,i found they had 1 case damaged, fortunely i got the seal verified and signed for, and i got a family friend from a church near where i live to accept the bad case for donation and get the receit. i guess i was getting stressed out because this was my second meat load , and both had os&d, so i kind of re-learning all the ins & outs of the meat-hauling biz, the good thing is, the money is starting to roll in, and once i saw that, things didnt seem so bad.Im on my 34 at the house now, so im hoping to get going tuesday a.m. and get myself to chill out a bit more, and i think after i get the hang of refrigerated hauling, things will be easier for me to deal with. Im just hoping that people at the company arent getting the idea that i'm giving up, since i did get myself frustrated at times, I remember at that at transam i had some growing pains, since that was my very first experience in meat hauling, and after a couple months, i was loving it, and thats been a good 12 years ago.
i will say one thing, once i got that truck cleaned up and shining on the inside, and got the two small mechanical issues taken care of, its been running like a champ, and i'm impressed at how good the condition of the trailers ive pulled have been. NICE equipment here. so like i said, once i put a bit more time in here, i think things will get easier for me. -
How is everyones holiday weekend going?
I just arrived here in sumner at the shell near costco.. any idea if vw will reimburse my parking?
Also. Anywhere to get a trailer washout close by?
Thanks -
Huskerfan: they should reimburse the parking if you turn in the receipt. Funny, I've never paid to park there...maybe I'm not paying close enough attention!
As far as the washout, wait to see where you're reloading. If you're going to go inland for a reload, there's options out on 90 over the hill, if you're going south, there's options that way too. Just scour your driver's manual. Behind the fuel stop list, there's that nice list of washouts that we have direct charge accounts at. -
So we have a T700 in the fleet that no one said anything about?? Shame on all of you!!!
-
A t700?? Those seem like a t2000 with a different hood.

i saw the 680 when i was up in sheldon for orientation.. slick looking truck
