Got a question for everybody, mainly Husker and Matt since we have 2012's but is it common to hear something to the effect of something sounding like your AC is Blasting from the Sleeper Bunk when your Turbo is kicking in above 20 PSI?? Everytime i hear it, it's above 20 PSI and it sends like a gushing amount of air and it sounds like it's coming out the area of the Exhaust from Under the truck.. I just don't recall hearing this with my truck, maybe it was that ECM upgrade i got a week before the "incident" but i looked in the area of the exhaust and i see no holes or anything...

The Northeast lanes aren't bad, the only run you probably have gripes about is the Norton run (Southeast Boston) if you don't like Traffic and We do go out on Long Island for backhauls when running the Northeast.. You can run either one, if you desire more money the Northeast is the way to go with you choosing to take straight 34's every weekend to work your way into getting 3 loads a week, the mid-west is more relaxed but you can be out there waiting a half a day or more on a load of meat...Also you can get out there and tell dispatch that you want to run through the weekend and be back home the following week but they will run you hard through the weekend...

As far as money goes, starting at probably $750 to $1100 a week, all depends what your running and how many days your run...

Ran a load from Storm Lake to Hutchinson yesterday. Getting a reload in Topeka headed out east to Front Royal.

What is the routing you guys use when heading east to get there? 70 east all the way to 81? Or are any of the back roads worth it?

    Thanks.

yes take home and i really wouldn't say yes you can pick your own loads but you can ask if they have a load going somewhere and make a request for that load or they will give you a choice and you can pick from

70 all the way out to 81 or 522 down to 37 and back to 81... personally i like 70 all the way over due to the hills on 522

    huskerfan86 Thanks this.

Contrarily, I prefer 522 to 37 to 81 to 66. Cuts off mileage.

Boy that's a tough one, I've never ran across that ghost sound. Did you crawl the entire length of the exhaust mainly to account for sound deflection? You would hate to have it found by the boys ib blue over the next three days! Ended up running that short haul nonsense last week for some odd reason, but after tomorrow I'll be back on my preferred long haul routes. I did manage to get home long enough this weekend to take the boat out and get a humdinger of a sunburn though! I did get quite a surprise from the wife though when I got home Friday night. When I opened the garage door I saw a couple of boxes covered up with some blankets and my first thought was oh hell what does she want me to put together now! Well she came walking downstairs with a cold beer in hand and told me to look under the blanket. Much to my surprise she went out and got me the grill AND lawnmower I've had my eye on for awhile! Looks like I need to get my butt home quick so I can put that stuff to good use.
