Vax for truckers to enter into the US from Canada?

Did you hear today that AHS extended their ultimatum for getting vaxxed to the end of November now? In that exact same breath they bragged about how 94% of healthcare workers have been fully vaccinated as of today. Something doesn't quite add up.

If losing 6% of healthcare workers will damage the healthcare system, our healthcare system must be pretty bad. The only other 2 possible conclusions I can draw is that they are lying about how many healthcare workers are actually vaccinated. Or that it was nothing more than an intimidation tactic that isn't actually enforcible.

 

The vaccine is to help us fight off covid and to prevent variants. My cousin caught it and he was double vaccinated. Overweight and in his 70s but he survived. We will all eventually get it but the vax is a fighting chance for those who need it. Remember back when this started they wanted to flatten the curve so the hospitals wouldnt be overwhelmed.

 

Could you imagine being a frontline healthcare worker since this started, no one is rushing off to get a job doing that right at the moment and many are burnt out and quitting. I dont think they can afford to lose anyone.

So many front line workers are quitting their job and taking travel positions in the Covid zones because it pays balls.

 

Um. You obviously don't know how variants are created. They are created by the virus fighting against the vaccine. SMH

On and if the vaccine is supposed to make it easier on you when you get it. It doesn't. My BiL was on death's door. Until he got the antibody treatment. Also he is a healthy person.

So vaccine protects you? False. Vaccine makes it milder? False.

 

Vaccines prevent you from getting ill. Therapeutics lessen symptoms when you get ill. Why are we still calling this a vaccine?

For the record, I'm anti-therapeutic. I'm also against therapeutic mandates. Especially when the therapeutic in question drops to 20% effectiveness after four months.

Thats not true, the delta variant started in Dec 2020 in India. No one there was being vaccinated yet, variants develop where the higher numbers of infections are. Kind of like the more lottery numbers sold the more likely your going to have a winner. Vaccines reduce the number of infections, the duration and severity of infections and lessen the likelyhood of variants being created.

 

Thats not true, vaccines have been shown to be about 50% effective after 5 mos.
Therapeutic vaccines are given after you become infected, thats the definition.
So you are uninformed is all, monoclonal antibodies are a therapeutic vaccine sort of.

 

I see. So these vaccines prevent you from getting the virus?

Also, there's new numbers out on how long it lasts. And even if you were right, how is 50% after five months a win?

 

One reason many healthcare workers quit their jobs is because in a severe outbreak all services except emergency grind to a halt.
Workers work thats what we do. Not all people are workers some are quitters or look for reasons not to work.
Kind of like people who wont take precautions or get vaccinated, they are closer to draft dodgers and shirkers.
