Asking all O/O's,
I am going with the VDO RoadLog for e-log compliance and see they have an "office" software package. Do any of you that are running this e-log system use their office software? If so, does it work well to track expenses, mileage & fuel purchases, IFTA miles etc?
Thanks in advance!!

Just buy it out right, and keep track of everything else if your a loan ranger.
To figgin hard to type fuel in field, for 20 a month.Hulld and bowhunter67 Thank this. -
I’m using VDO but bought out right and no office.
Mine is an aobrd so I’m riding the wave till they force me to an eld. -
It’s seems to do real well, even records routes traveled for IFTA. Maybe somebody else will chime in.
I know once you buy the unit, you register it online, and a day or two later is when they provide the software -
I’m pretty sure you can do the IFTA, DVIR and log records all with the “fleet key” and don’t need the pay per month plan.
The pay per month plan is for those guys who need extra features to assist in dispatching from a remote location; like live truck tracking, messaging, performance monitoring
Maybe call a VDO sales rep, my locals Guys said it’s good to go on the basic office features. And from the look of it, if you watch the videos on vdo’s website it seems to be the sameAces-N-Eights Thanks this. -
Buyer beware: the VDO sync application, which is needed to move the data back and forth, DOES NOT WORK ON Apple/MAC.
Had to go out and pick me up a windows laptop from the pawn shop to run it.bowhunter67 Thanks this. -
I had to do the same thing so now I have 1 in the truck with me also.HopeOverMope Thanks this.

Yup, I heard that. It was a big let down at first, but oh well... They told me they’re working on a Mac release; maybe by later this yearbowhunter67 Thanks this.

We are currently looking into purchasing this system and their basic office package comes with the purchase and no monthly fee.
