[h=2][/h]How can you tell if your EPG plunger doesn't retract fully? My exhaust brake is working, idle EGR engages, but it seams like I have a pottato stuck in my behind (exhaust)when cruising on the highway. How can i tell if it is opening all the way without replacing it?
Did someone have the same problem before? Thanks for your help in advance

the only way is to unbolt it and use compressed air to see how does it move?)
dorlia2 Thanks this. -
The dealer keeps telling me that EPG rarely needs replacing but I am 99% sure I need a new one
Also is there a way to clean the sud from it and save the 900+ USD? -
try to disable EPG. It is easy, disconnect epg solenoid and ride with check engine ecu at next stop message.
remove and inspect EPG, it must retract easily when no air pressure.
