vehicle weights

    what r the max weight for drives??is it 34,000lbs and tandems 18,000 each???

    I Might BE Wrong But I think It's 12,000 On The Steers And 33,000 On The TAndem And rears

    34,000 on drives, 34,000 on tandem trailer axles, 20,000 each axle on a spread axle trailer...steer weights vary by state but in general they are around 12,500 or so.

    Ok thanks for the help. and you can move that weight on the steers and drives by moving your tandems correct??

    NO...you can shift the weight on the steers and drives by sliding the fifth wheel.

    You can shift weight between the drives and the trailer tandems by sliding the trailer tandems.

    When shifting weight to the steer axle, make sure you do not put more weight on the axle than your door panel says the spec limit is, and the size and load range of your tires say they are rated for. Fussy scale masters may check!

    Exactly. Just because you're under the max for any set of axles doesn't mean the truck can have that kind of weight on it.

    no, 12,000 steers, 34,000 drives, 34,000 tandems.
    for a maximum 80,000 pound load, 34,000+34,000+12,000=80,000.

    12000 steer and 34000 for each tandem. some states will allow 20000 on the steer according to rand mcnally.
