I found out through a friend that a small outfit that goes by the name Venture is looking for a driver or two. Its a small company with about 8 trucks. They run mostly in Texas and say that you will be home about everyother night. Not sure on the pay or how they are to work for, so I come to the pros who are out there with them everyday. Does anyone know about this company and thier business sense? Oh and they are out of Seguin, TX the one I am considering at least.

Venture's main office is in Laffayette,LA.that is just a terminal in Seguin they are a oilfield carrier you will probably get paid on a percentage. You will do good if you are busy not so good when the phone quits ringing.
Thats the way it is in oilfield work you get no warning when the work shuts down.

Thanks Big Rigger! From what I hear they are pretty busy and keep thier guys from here running. Which is what I want. I know its a small company but its a start. I just wanna get out on the road. From what I hear the pay is decent as well so I think Ill give them a shot and get some experience then move on to a bigger company.

Any other knowledge on this company would be greatly appreciated as well. Want to know as much as I can before I jump in head first.

    From Grindem,

I am way up here North of Dallas and heard through the grapevine that areas around SanAntonio were getting all the drivers they could get their hands on for the oil field work.

Yes they are...there's a lot of oil drilling & fracing going on.

Co's are getting what appears to be desperate for drivers due to high volume down there.
