very bad accident in an intersection i normally travel through

    I never said to deny her driving privileges if she can still function driving..... I only said we don't need people who have lost the ability to see, react or otherwise function driving continue to drive long after their ability to do so has left them.

    Its more of a family matter where the kids have to have ‘that talk’ with their parents.

    My mom is suffering dementia now and had to quit driving. Tears were shed, but its best. She fought the decision. We don't want a "gray alert" like in Flordia when someone gets lost, or worse. Now my father hes 90 and drives well. Sees well also. But he drove truck all his life and doesn't have dementia. Getting old is not for sissies.
