Very Bummed

    Oky I just had a preventable and am sooo bummed. I was making a right hand turn outta truck stop lot, an another truck came around the corner going really fast. I was watching him cause he seemed ready to turn into where I was exiting, an there wasnt room for him to do that. I went over a low curb I hadnt noticed. Well I probably woulda been oky, but on the other side of the curb was a huge hole. Down into it my tractor went causing my underside of the step mount shroud to hit the curb. It cracked the whole way up from top to bottom. I coulda cried! I was devestated an still am. We are due for hometime at the end of this week an they are ordering parts. I just feel so stupid. I always look for things like that an the one time I got distracted ...geezzz.
    Musta messed me up unconsiously to cuz I just found 2 log violations on my 70 after that incident.
    Sorry gys but ya'll are my only calm in a sometimes insane world. Thanks for letting me vent.

    it was an accident--not intentional--nobody was hurt----i wouldnt worry about it--sometimes poop happens---and you also learned a valuable lesson

    i have learned that lesson as well--a bit embqarressing tho isnt it---but still--no biggee

    After awhile, these things happen less often, but sometimes, driving can still be interesting.

    Like the others said, put it behind you, learn from it, but don't get too hung up on it.

    Hey wyld ((((((hugs))). I think the fact that your upset about it is good. Chances are you will be wiser for it. You made no excuses, didnt blame anyone, you owned it and I suspect you learned a lesson as canuck said. Listen to Oldnew and move on. (have a good cry first tho, that always helps) :)

    Go figure tho...Been in the storm when the roof collapsed in MN, the ice in Denver, the storm in Chicago, Tornadoes in Memphis among other things and did fine....just sucks a lil curb an hole got me.
    I will put it behind me but it still burns,,,an she is such a pretty truck or was til now.
    Thanks for your support gys....Always there when I need yas!

    i goofed up too, just one month after going solo. i thought i was such a pro at backing and bang, preventable. it just helps to keep us humble and aware.

    Thanks everyone! It is nice to know I am not the only bruiser in the bunch! Thanks for your honesty, it really has helped me take a different outlook an I have almost stopped kicking myself!

    Hey it happens, i got a preventable for moving another swiftys mirror and didnt break or scratch it.
