Aw man. It wasn't too long ago a driver got ran over by his own rig when he got out to take a leak. Sad indeed. Everybody, remember to set your brakes.
-
I sometimes when I parked and get out of the truck, I'll go back a couple of times to check if I did set the brakes. I just won't look at the knob's, I physically PULL on them to make sure there set.
bullhaulerswife, rookietrucker and doubledragon5 Thank this. -
Hubby does that to. LOL
Diesel Dave Thanks this. -
Same here, and what ever you do, do not try a stop a rolling truck on your own. Sad , but the end result is not good..
-
I understand that anyone including myself can have an accident. But not setting the brakes is very odd to me....its second nature at least for me to set the brakes SOON as I stop and get out. Most times I will check and recheck that I set the brakes.....ill even check by releasing and resetting them. But I might just be OCD lol.

this sad, hard lesson to learn!, but he must have not set his brakes

Apparently not chief.
