Well, I did but they were all tight on that street I got lost for a great while and realized I had to make the turn anyway. Mind you I was already loaded with 44k lbs. I think I made a poor decision to run over the median. Luckily I ran into a nice trucker who hooked me up on a Friday afternoon with new rim for only $100 otherwise It could have been very costly. But you had no choice but to make that turn to get to the receiver.
I think I will turn these junk loads down next time. -
Use up as much space as needed while keeping the idiots from cutting inside.
If you need to make a right hand turn from the 3rd lane. Make sure turn signals are on and most smart people will stay out of your space.
Sometimes you might have to use oncoming traffic left turn.
It's all about smart, without causing an accident.
Sometimes, though, you have to take the next block. -
Split lane to ur left. Watch mirror , there will always be one dimbo that runs down the right side if ya leave it open. If i have to hold up 3 light changes before somebody lets me turn , sucks for them.

Actually as said it before, reflecting back at it moving forward, will walk each turn on google maps and if it looks anything like this, I will turn the load down.
The real issue here is that this receiver is in a 100-year-old building with very old streets. The best thing to do is to turn the load down.
Has anyone here been to Dallas's main post office? The same problem, you get in with barely an inch on each side of the truck and you can't get out of there. I lost a mud flap getting a yard jockey to take my trailer out of there. These places are not meant for 53' to get in and out. Or I am not your most skillful driver. I take that blame over getting myself in this type of jam.
I mean this morning I saw a driver with 53' trailer moving van with a long truck that made him 80' parked in my residential street. I did not have the time to watch and see how he managed to leave the neighborhood without hitting anything. But obviously he has the skills to do it. I am not even going to attempt to do something like that! -
You're not going to obtain any skills if you don't learn yourself.
Turning loads down when others can do it.
Google can take up time. Just learn to look and read and assess the turn. If it looks etchy. Grab some space.Wasted Thyme and kemosabi49 Thank this. -
Assuming you took the right route that turn must be doable since other trucks go to that place.

Wasted Thyme Thanks this. -
I know where a right turn is.
There's plenty of space when done right.
Problem, is the lanes painted. Don't accommodate for semis. And cars can get in your way. -
Slammed on the brakes . A second later the tank would have swept over her. -
