Out of the service a couple years now...planning to start CDL training around the beginning of 2022 and particularly interested in flatbed. I was originally thinking that I should find a good CDL school to use my GI Bill so I would be free and clear and could go anywhere I wanted, but several folks have encouraged me to explore all avenues of using the benefits and I keep coming across the various apprenticeship programs offered by a number of companies.

Getting a check from the VA on top of mileage pay sounds awesome, but I'm guessing the downside is if I don't like the company I'm stuck there for a while?

Any other vets out there who have gone into one of these programs?

    Thanks!

I did community College for my CDL and the VA gave me around $1300 a month to do it. But I had to pay tuition.
So then I went to Schneider and they paid me back for my tuition.

There's a gazillion opportunities and combinations thereof out there. Take your time and "choose wisely."

Hit us back with your best offer and we'll tell you if it's a good deal.

    Good luck
