    Hello,

About a week ago I graduated from a CDL school here in FL (National Training Inc.). My question is, Are there any decent companies out there that do local or dedicated routes in the Orlando area? I'm aware of JB Hunt and CCC and their local programs. What are your thoughts on other companies?

    P.S.
If they have veteran bonuses that is a major plus!

One driver in Tampa posted he was hired by Twiss Transport when he graduated from CDL school. Seems like he said he stays in Florida driving a box truck. Don't know if they put new CDL grads in big trucks or not.

A year or so ago a woman posted she was hired by Indian River Transport to do local work around Tampa area. That was her first job after graduating from CDL school.

Check into Saddle Creek. Not sure if they hire rookies or not, but you'll be home nightly.

Hello, I've looked into all the suggestions above, and none of them fit what im needing, either they need experience or are OTR jobs. Do you guys know of any others perhaps mom and pops businesses or the likes?

Those in Post #2 don't require any experience. They even hire with only a CDL permit. You'll be a drivers helper and dock worker until you get the full CDL.

Might not be exactly what you are looking for. But pepsi, coke, and Dr pepper all hire inexperienced drivers. They require a lot of physical work and do not pay great, but it is a way to get the experiance the freight companies want. Pepsi has a full time night shift driver posted on indeed.com now. I can't get the link to copy on my phone. Just google pepsi driver job orlando if you are interested.

Also conway freight has a driver program and trains new drivers. I have heard that it is difficult to get into, but worth a try.

    Fed Ex. maybe.
when I lived down there I found very little opportunity for driving. especially local.

there is a place that hauls paper to businesses though. they may be hiring. I will have to try and find the name. friend of mine works there
