any other potential leads? i looked into everything so far. Gordon Food services wants me to drive a small van (like a passenger size van) to deliver food and i told them nope, cause that doesnt count towards my experience.

I think you made a mistake. You would have had a good foot in the door to climb the ladder, could have been making good money in a short time. I don't work for gfs, but I started my job driving a van, within a couple months I was moved up to a class b straight truck. I am still in the class b making 50k a year. Eventually I will be moved up to class a.
To get on without experiance locally you may have to start in a smaller vehicle or even a forklift, prove yourself to the company and you will move up

I now have an opprotunity with a paving company (class b dump truck, but the owners want an A license) for $14 an hour.. Im thinking about just staying with them. It's local for me and its a very small company (10 dump trucks total)

You'll make more than $14 an hour working for Pepsi. I know people say it doesn't pay well, and I guess in some areas it doesn't, but in my area the pay isn't bad at all. I've made between $65,000 and $75,000 (I edited that, forgot about the year I did other jobs besides just driving) every year the past 5. Not GREAT money, but I get by ok.

The reason I mention this is because I know Orlando Pepsi is hiring quite often. That could mean either it's a crappy place to work- or that it's just a large outfit. In a large outfit there's always some turnover at the bottom of the seniority list, so the frequent hiring isn't a problem. Only one way to find out.

Not sure what you're worried about a job "counting towards experience" for. If it's a DOT compliant job it counts as experience. Maybe not for OTR- but you don't want to do that anyway.
