Father was a truck driver before I was born.
Started driving farm truck in 1965 when I was tall enough to reach the clutch.
Started driving army trucks in 1975 at age 18.
Got my CDL in 3/1984.
Last chargeable accident 2/86.
Last accident 6/98.
Last ticket 5/04.
3 million safe miles. Almost 2 million miles without a ticket.
And YOU are going to tell ME something, right?
RIGHT? lol.
Interesting side note. Enlisted Oct 74. After basic training at Ft Lenard Wood, medic training at Ft Sam Houston, airborne and ranger school at Ft Benning the first thing I did as a fully qualified airborne ranger medic was change the front tire on a 2 1/2 ton truck...

So go lay by your dish... I have almost 4 million safe miles. And almost 4 million since my last speeding ticket (which I wasnt guilty of) back in 86 sometime. The accident i had in 98 a woman ran into me. 2 state troopers saw it happen. The one chargable I had I got caught in Wy in a blizzard and couldnt find a safe place to get off the road and the wind grabbed the tractor and jack knifed it as I was going down the road. Not really a hell of a lot I could do about that, but they ruled it chargable because "I shouldnt have been out there in a blizzard". Whatever... The ticket I got in 04 was because I entered an intersection on a yellow light. It was on US30 in Indiana about 2am with no one around. The cops had just installed a camera to watch the intersection and were playing around with it. Since I didnt exit the intersection before the red they ticketed me for it. Didnt see a need to jump on the brakes for a yellow light in the middle of the night with no one around. Still dont and would do it again right now without a thought.
BTW (not for you, but for the rookies that read this because you are an expert), NEVER answer a question from a cop. Nothing good can come from it. Nothing in the law says you have to help them get you in trouble (its called the 5th amendment). Where are you going? Where are you coming from? Do you know how fast you were going? Why are you on this road and not the interstate? ect so on and so forth. "I dont believe the law requires me to answer that question officer, sorry".Last edited: Sep 2, 2022

Lol, yeah, I did. So whats your point?
Chargeable accidents are those you can avoid (since you dont seem to know what the term means). 2/86 - which is what I said when I said:

A accident you can not avoid (ie non-chargeable) is, ummmm, unavoidable... You somehow think that makes you more knowledgeable because no one has run into you?
You also said: and no speeding tickets.
I have never had a speeding ticket I deserved. I got 5 in Wisconsin between 1984 and 1986 - and frankly if I ever am diagnosed with terminal cancer I have a very special plan for a Wisconsin chicken house to make up for the money they have stolen from me, but thats between me and God
You didnt drive in the "Smokey and the Bandit" days when cops would tag anyone for anything and there was nothing you could do about it. Thank God for dash cams.
So what HAVE you gotten tickets for? You seem to avoid that.
The whole point of this thread is LOGS. And I have never had a log violation (which is what I said). Ever. I PRESUME YOU have. And you havent denied it.
So I guess your post is completely meaningless, since you dont seem to have a point. Right?
You also said: I've never gotten a speeding ticket in 28 years. I have 3 million miles
the accepted norm is 1 year=100,000 miles. I have never met anyone that actually keeps track of how many miles they have actually driven. Before.Last edited: Sep 2, 2022
