Yep, we both downloaded and tested Skype this past weekend. Showed her how to use it so there's no "problems" when I leave. My oldest daughter, she's 12, and I Skype all the time.

I hear nobody wants to go to NY, I'd take it. Better chance of seeing my oldest more
