Yes unfortunately we live in a throw away society, I don't think people ever give much thought to just exactly how much junk and waste is thrown away each day. Pictures like these are very educational I must say and brings us back to reality.

MICRO PLASTICS are worse than what's Visible:
Plastic pollution in the ANTARCTIC is now as bad as everywhere else on Earth | Daily Mail Online

HUMANITY has screwed EARTH and HUMANITY without Humility.
The Amounts of MICRO PLASTICS in The OCEAN (not OCEANS), just ONE, has yet to be fully discovered since HUMANITY knows MUCH LESS About The Oceanic Environment than of the Moon and Planets.

NOWHERE TO RUN, NOWHERE TO HIDE.
Aren't WE a wonderful species eh, but let's NOT be concerned about our dismal future, as we are currently experiencing the worst beginning.
Get your sled ready for the ride into the Oblivion Abyss.

All those cars could be shredded and the metal recycled.

    Sensationalist article targeting for clicks.

Dumps exist everywhere. Some areas are better at recycling than others. The dump they targeted is just another dot on the line graph.

If they really wanted an article of value they would have approached the subject more objectively.

If the scrap market is up that's exactly what they'll do. But if they dump that much scrap on the market all at once it can drive the price down, too.
