Hm. Something from a long buried past resurrected again.
I'll do some digging. I was a arcade rat in my time. Off the top of my head I remember two games, tron and star trek. (The model that sometimes had overhot monitors due to the type of graphics pushed by the game...)
And plenty of home games of the nintendo 64 and other types I would not mind hearing again.
Video game soundtracks and iTunes

It was at that time a game that was heavily given bad press in the newspapers thinking a generation of kids, that's me would grow up chain sawing people.
Now I don't know what that problem was all about with a hyperventilating newspaper article about a game compared to say a movie with chainsaws....
You should be able to still find and pull Doom and play it. It's pretty immersive for it's time. I think Wolfenstine was the first attempt at 3d type gaming. Doom would have been the second or possibly the first to really create worlds to walk around in killing enemies.AModelCat Thanks this. -
This was my personal favorite.

Not much on music, but it puts me in the mood for shuh shuh! -
If you were outside of the law, or worse rebels, your power in tron was rationed to equal a human trying to exist on say a pint of water a day and maybe a nutrition loaf once a day in a small amount so you exist but you don't have any energy to do anything or fight. You cannot enjoy life because you are weak.
You could spend a long time conserving credits or power and then spend it in a palace of light as one of the female characters dared to do at home with her love interest one night in the story, if I recollect correctly. The sudden extravance expense displayed by this light in a area where it's supposed to be dark and cheerless ghetto under the thumb of Master control.
The story in Tron was essentially freedom seekers or rebels I would say was going up against master control. Master control would be anything you wanted it to be in your mind watching this movie back then. It's a yarn, a story about a few people existing and fighting back when they can find power (Equals resources, food and water etc) to do it. If they did not, they were derezzed and ceased to exist in a sort of a totalitarian state that will not allow anything to live that does not precisely obey it's .. edicts or commands.
The video game in original form when it came out featured several situations presented in the movie a form of battle if you please. The tank is the easiest to understand.
I hope this helps.MACK E-6 Thanks this. -

Here's a catchy one I have on my phone and ipod. Itunes has this, but a slightly different version.

One of the old arcade games used the Beatles song "A hard days night". For some reason I think it was Elevator Action, but not so sure.
