For many people worldwide it is. Trump is building some high-end golf resorts there and other companies are also building high-end resorts inland and on the beaches.
Modern country with good infrastructure which is constantly being built or upgraded. High speed rail and modern airports and ship terminals for cruise ships.
My friend, a retired trucker O/O, moved there and has a condo on the beach. Been there a few years now.

 

That's huge in that part of the world, plus backpacking.
One American family, wife, husband, two children, did the backpacking, trains, hitchhiking over there. Fell in love with the country and moved there. Both are school teachers.
