I just went east across I-80, from Joliet to the line, this morning. I don’t see it being all that bad. Indiana I-70, from MM137 to the state line, is far worse. For added effect, drag a spring-ride trailer. ;)

I have to agree with this one from @D.Tibbitt here. The stretch of I-40 going eastbound out of Kingman, AZ is a treacherous place for cars and trucks alike. A couple of months ago I left Vegas with and OS/OW load and got on I-40 EB from Kingman. This is right where the signs are posted that say "Rough Road". I was driving as late as I could before shutting it down for sunset and I counted 17 cars and trucks with tire, wheel and body damage to front bumpers and fenders in a 26 mile stretch on I-40 EB. Only one big truck had suffered damage in the form of a blown out wide based single and a damaged wheel. Pretty ridiculous.

Luckily this stretch of interstate is being repaired but they have a long way to go so they can get rid of the "Rough Road" signs.

I do agree that the Cross Bronx Expressway is really dang rough but I don't remember if it had holes the size of the ones on I-40 EB out of Kingman. I drove the CBE just a week before back surgery in early June and it is a beat up piece of pavement that they call an expressway.

Watched a video from deboss garage where he was unbending his bent rim after going through that stretch. He said it was impossible to avoid holes and drove very slow but still damaged his Apache pick up .

I saw that same video too. It is a horrible stretch of road. The state has had the "rough road" signs up for several years there. There are two spots I remember where one hole is at least 5' wide and it's almost impossible to avoid especially if there is other traffic around.

I saved a screenshot of it in Google Maps in Satellite view. It covers almost the entire right lane of I-40 EB. Screenshot_2023-07-11-13-11-24-55_3d9111e2d3171bf4882369f490c087b4.jpg
