Mechanic Destroys 1997 Toyota Supra During Test Drive: Report
Anyone who has dealt with these cars know that they were rare to begin with (around $40K and up brand spanking new, with most examples nowadays going for more(literally) than some Ferraris). Looks like surviving example values just went up again!

Well good luck to that shop. They are gonna be paying for that car and then some in court... Sound like mechanic was not experienced in driving high horsepower cars... Those supras have become a modern day superbird

They are now. Most of those examples are 25 years old or more so they qualify for antique plates!

It is not just any old Toyota.. It is a supra.. That like saying a 69 Camaro is just any old chevy.. That supra with all the upgrades it has is probably worth close to 300k

Not many of those were built to begin with,so they’ve always held their value.
A lot of coupes and convertibles from the 1960s were inspired by “Coke bottle styling” and the Jaguar XKE.

Me personally, I’m a more of a coupe person, although certain convertibles and sedans are pleasing to the eyes.
And sometimes it’s fun driving a slow car fast.
