Recently we had a couple guys get pulled over for speeding, all trucks are governed but they both got pegged on the highway in a 55mph zone going flow of traffic which is usually 70-75 from my experience. The first driver was given a ticket for doing 15mph over the speed limit, I told him to fight it and they responded with a nolle so he got off easy, the other driver was pulled over for doing 6-10mph over the speed limit and claims he wasn't given a ticket, however BOTH violations showed up on CSA before they even had a chance to respond the ticket let alone fight it.....are drivers now guilty until proven innocent? any insight would be appreciated, thanks!

only insight I have for ya is to tell 'em to do no more than 2 or 3 over the speed limit
rachi Thanks this. -
Instead of encouraging the speeding by doing nothing, why not write them up when thwy trash your csa score?
If the deliveries are scheduled too tight learn to schedule correctly.
That said, you can dataq both violations. The one that went to court will get removed. The other is very unlikely.brian991219 and deathB4decaf Thank this. -
The whole point of the CSA is knock drivers.
-
Not sure where you gathered that I was encouraging speeding but that isn't the case. The point of the post is I am trying to figure out why the violations are being added to CSA even prior to the drivers admitting guilt etc
-
Because that's the way csa works. Might as well ask why the sky is blue. It just is.

I would think that if you are innocent until proven guilty that the points wouldn't hit till after the conviction.... we all know the DOT is well versed in everything they like to give tickets for.... "there's stuff on the thing...here's a ticket" lol

Thats the way it is in the trucking industry now days. No respect for truckers, and they are seen as rolling atm's. The driver that got busted going 15 over is a major violation which could cause your insurance rates to go up, as well as triggering an audit from Fmcsa.

Actually the blue is the color of the oxygen in the atmosphere...we watched a demo during cyro training at Liquid Carbonic. guy went a filled a thermos with O2 and poured into a beaker and , once the vapor cloud was big enough there was a layer of liquid in the bottom, sky blue.deathB4decaf and x1Heavy Thank this.

Innocent until proven guilty is a concept of the court system. CSA is more like a credit report in the way it's handled. I.E. the data is accurate until it's proven to be not. Way more in our lives have that standard than the innocent until proven guilty.brian991219, deathB4decaf and Proxy Thank this.
