Have 2009 Volvo truck with a visco Behr fan clutch 19094, that doesn't engage when needed.have d13 motor. I have replaced clutch fan, temp, switch, new air conditioning pressure switch, I have been still operating by unplugging clutch fan, then will it fully engage.is this clutch controled by ecm? been wrestling with this problem for a year any suggestions would be appreciated.thanks Steve

If you unplug the fan, and it operates then the fan is working ok. The fan is controlled by the ECM. could be an I issue with your with the ECM. You are going to have to get someone with a computer to go into the ECM and manually activate the fan. If that works them your problem is not with the ECM. you could install a manual fan switch

Basically, you would need to either cut the plug off that plugged in to the plug to the fan. There should be two wires, a ground and a hot wire. You can ground the ground to the engine/frame. Run the hot wire to the cab, and install a toggle switch. If you google it, you can find step by step instructions and find it on YouTube as well

It must have power going to it because when I unplug it there is no power to it and it will engage. But I follow you train of thought, it has a five pin connection if I could find out which wire out of the five turns power off and put a on off switch on it then I think it would be a manual on off switch. Thanks.
