What state are you located in?

Phoenix Arizona

You can't get glasses to correct your vision?
G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
Looks like FMCSA only gives waivers for interstate drivers and not intrastate drivers. Now hypothetically I guess you could go into your local DMV and have them change it over so you could qualify.

Well i never change my license to intrastate. So i can go otr if i wanted to right now without a problem... I just want to know if you know whats the process of getting a waiver. Or if i can quilify for it.

I have glasses but my right eye still won't pass with 20/40 even with glasses on. I need a contact but cant afford one. Even my insurace wont cover it.

I would call DOT. Not sure how it works in Az but in Illinois you can get the formed signed off by a doctor and it has to be carried
with your medical card. One of the guys I worked with had a glass eye and carried a exception form. -
Eye doctor will take payments won't they? Its not overly expensive is it?
-
Not mine. He wants the full payment up front. Itcis pretty expensive. Unfortunately
