I have a Cobra 29 LTD Bluetooth installed in a 2010 KW T2000. Setup is all factory hardware. A driver gave me the CB as he bought a new high dollar unit.
My first truck was a 2010 KW 660 all factory hardware, same CB was installed there.
Problem is with volume level. It is always so low that most of the time I can't hear clearly, even idle at a TS.
In the 660 sometimes it was very loud and clear and at other times very low but in the T2 it is always low.
Any theories are appreciated.
Volume Problem always low

I'd try an external speaker, if that solves the volume problem, you will know it is in the speaker in the radio, if not, it's in the radio.

The sheer ignorance I read in posts here is truly beyond understanding.Timin770 Thanks this.

To clarify a bit more... I do not use the Bluetooth, Hooked to the factory external speaker in the truck or trying just the Cb speaker, volume is the same. The driver that gave me the CB is a friend and was not just passing off junk. The CB has had no mods done to it. Age is about 6 months. The volume came and went in the 660 but always low in the T2.

Cobra 29 is a decent radio. no frills or childish echo, reverb crap. I've had 2 radios in 28 yrs, both 29's , have had no problems , they are durable. get a good tune job and it will give you 15 watts,(all ya need), and yrs of service,(current radio is a 1994).

I bought one of those brand new and after 3 months it stopped working right and would freeze up. I would have to disconnect the power while driving and reconnect it after about 15 seconds to reset the radio. I couldn't transmit or receive. Sorry to tell you but from my experience, that specific model is junk. Better off buying a different radio. These guys carry all kinds of electronics including radios for a decent price. www.newegg.com

I haven't heard any good reports about the Cobra 29 with the bluetooth feature either. I guess it wasn't one of Ford's better ideas... Ha.
