Volvo 730 or 780?

If your ordering a truck, you can get it spec’d for just about any application. 730’s do tend to be a popular allternative to the 630 for Flat/tank use. Not that you can’t pull a box with them. They do have an air deflector add on to the roof.

One option is to look for non current stock.
It would be a new truck that was unsold for the model year. have to dig around for them, but the next few months are a good time to try and find them, the deals are going to be good on them.

 

I work for a Volvo dealer in Ontario, the 860 has our new hood design and new dash, the bunk is identical to the 780, we will have some 860's arrive at the end of November.

 

i like mid roofs better than condo's, easyer to heat and cool the extra headroom is just dead air space, let alone the tallest trailer i pull is 12' and i have a 12' door on my shop. plus i think a mid roof looks better.

however if i pulled van/refer and that's all i pulled and was ever going to i might go for a condo, i would want the cab to push the air over the trailer so might as well have the extra interior room rather than a faring.

 

I saw a 760 the other day in Orlando. No way I’d buy a new Volvo if it wasn’t the new models unless you get a big discount
