Volvo 780 with a Volvo d13 engine (425hp) 13 speed. Dont remember the rears but it was a weird one like 342?? Have to check paper work it' not on the door data plate.
What kind of fuel mileage do you get? What rpm and speed is best for max fuel mileage? Im only getting high 5 and 6's.
Havent had this low mileage since the 80's. My last truck w/Detroit got 6-8. One before that had a Cummins and got 6.5-7mpg.
I'e tried everything i no and have ever heard of. But just can' get this mileage up.
Whats your experiance?

7-8 mpg during winter, 8-9 above freazing, running 62mph with average and light, 55-60 very heavy ; i sold it with 1,833,000 miles on original motor,D13/08.
I just purchased, used same 780 ,2010 ,D13,Eaton 13 i get same mpg.
You are too fast for good mpg, especially this time of the year. I purchased it new in June 07, imo not perfect but still an exceptional motor, plenty of power,torque and great on fuel.Attached Files:
