Hello guy need help help thanks in advance. My air dryer kept purging bought a new one kept purging looks like it's not holding psi to tell the compressor to stop pumping changed the air compressor governor nothing changed went under and found out that as soon as the dryer lets out it pushes air out of the black box on the frame rail between frame and tranny so I bought a new one just installed it still air coming out of it need help finding out what's going on it's an older model Volvo with a 6 line black box small with 2 bolts that hold that distributor.

Did you check that the steel braided line from the air compressor to the drier isn't bad?

Even though it is steel braided externally, there is a plastic air line inside which can crack from age and be leaking air.

Next time any of the brass air line fittings are leaking, including the ones on the brake valves, leveling valves, air distribution manifold, etc just use a needle nose pliers and pull the brass outer ring off, use a pick or hook and take out the old cracked dried out O-Ring and replace it with a new one of the same size and reinstall the brass outer locking ring.

It will be as good as new and you will save lots of money.

Volvo uses four different sizes of O-Rings depending on the diameter of the air line.

I found out the hard way all these years by buying a new brass fitting, when I could've just replaced the O-ring.

Well someone always has to pay the price so the next person can benefit from the experience.

If you still have your old Air Distribution Manifold, just replace the O-rings and you'll have a spare one for next time.
