A Cummins ISX would be a terrible mistake.. terrible.
You need to have a good dealer and mechanic do the job Right.
I can recommend two Volvo Dealer shops:
Mechanic Mike Davis @ Truck Enterprises in Hagerstown MD .... Do Not let any of their other mechanics touch your engine.
VoMac Trucks in New Haven Indiana.... Talk to David there and they have several VERY good Volvo techs. I like Randy, he's quite good and personable.
I hope this helps you.... -
It's not a coating btw....
Brass was the old material with different inj design.
Stainless is the new material with a updated injector ... Conical design... And the install procedure has been changed.
Just a fyi.. -
What's wrong with the ISX? Amazing jake brakes on that red beast. My volvo jakes wont hold back a wet fart on flat ground. I will look into those shops. Also will keep you guys posted on my deslings with volvo. Any possible lawsuits for this acknowledged design flaw?RubyEagle Thanks this.

Have you ever adjusted the strength on the parameter setting?
I adjusted mine and i have no need for stronger jakes... -
I'll have my shop take a look at it when I get up there for my cups replacement
-
Mine is set to
1) 50%
2) 80%
3) 100℅
A mode) 80℅
I've thought about taking my A mode the whole way to 100℅ but it works good. -
Do you have a manual transmission?
-
No
Ishift
What year is your truck? Only the newer ones have the jake by the windshield wiper switch.
If it's older , you won't have the A mode function. -
