That says crankcase vent mechanical system not responding properly, so what work have you done to it so far

Nothing. It just came in about an hour ago.

so on the left side of the motor there is the oil seperator sounds like this is your problem

I asked volvo if I could take it apart and clean it. They said no. Seems like you could.

My slobber tube is wet with oil but truck is not leaking. Visual inspection shows no leaks on the housing, interface with engine block is dry and the top hose going to the valve cover has no leaks and is tight. I did just add a gallon of lucas to the truck to see if that may help.

Inside of that separator there is a spinner and what happens is it slows or stop ie code for mechanical system not operating... We had one on the side of the road and that one was pumping back into the intake at the turbo an thus burning oil and the driver pulled it apart you'll see the little torx bolts around it pulled them off and remove that lid and have a look i havent done this myself but this is what i know from what the driver worked out

If mine was burning oil would my soot levels be higher on the aftertreatment readout?
