I'm sorry guys. I have been off grid for a while because I'm busy running racking up. No I did not have to go to the bank for a loan to buy a new engine (thank God) and if I had to I promise I have set aside enough to buy a engine on my own without getting a loan from the bank. Back to the real issue. I ordered a new D16 oil filter housing, swapped it out myself at te house and that took care of it. It was only seven bolts to the engine, and I put a new gasket on it too. Now my oil pressure is ready even better than when I bought the truck used. So that how I resolved the issue, new oil filter housing and gasket. It's been months now without any issues but I promise I will post if any issue arises.

Did you install another gauge on the engine to see if it really is low, or are you going off the gauge in the dash?
I had this same issue many years ago, only to find out the culprit was a loose wire in the dash circuit board where the oil pressure gauge was located.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -

I have 2009 Volvo D16 every 4000 miles my oil pressure light in the dash will come on and the truck will derate. According to the gauge the oil pressure will slide to about 40 psi. If I just change the filters, and not the oil, I will gain up to 15 psi on the oil pressure gauge for another 4000 miles. We've had wiring harnesses changed and the sensors that go with it. Could it all be in the dash? Or am I missing something else? Any thoughts on this?

Sounds like fuel dilution. Sample it next time.
