    Hi everyone,
Can anyone tell me, if when I replace injectors at the house and drive 50 miles to the nearest volvo shop to get the injections program to the ecm, will that be okay or will the drive to shop cause any damage to the new injectors? thanks in advance!

You will be ok. Wait for Nasriza to answer though. He knows more about D16 than me.

nothing will happen to injectors if you change it out properly just make sure to write down rightnumber and nothing will happen don't even worry about it i will suggest if you have stainless steel cups volvo calls for changing the cup everytime you replace the injector for proper sealing. otherwise you might have compression getting in the fuel system also make sure you replace injector hold down bolt as well d16 used to like really breaking this bolts and it's better to replace for new.

    Confused and bonous Thank this.

i never look forward to doing one of these always a pain in the ### with the valve cover having to go in the cab and all. Make sure please to either use a vacum pump or do it my way take a long blower and blow all the fuel out of the piston and make sure engine brake valve o rings seat properly so you dont have oil psi drop.

Confused, KB3MMX and bonous Thank this.

Nasriza, I need your expertise again. I have removed five injectors but the injector in the #5 bore is stuck. I have tried to gently pry it making sure I don't cause any damage to the head but it seems is stuck in there pretty well. The H.C.B-B1393 tool I have is to remove/ install the sleeve but I don't have any injector puller. Any suggestion?

Just an update on the stucked injector. it's out. I place a bottle jack on the frame and raised it up as hight as it goes and was able to use a big long heavy duty pry bar to pry it out on it against the injector, and the shaft in the middle of the injector spring broke, so I put a little bit of break a loose fluid on it and tapped the broken shaft slightly with a hammer, then i used a big grip pliers to wiggle it out. Inspected the bore and it looks all good no damage.

    KB3MMX Thanks this.
